Nuts, Bolts & Studs

Nuts: Nuts are fasteners with a threaded hole, used with bolts to fasten materials together. They come in various types such as hex nuts (most common), lock nuts (prevent loosening due to vibration), and wing nuts (easily tightened by hand).

Bolts: Bolts are threaded fasteners with a head at one end, used with nuts to join materials together. They are classified by their head shape (hexagonal, square, round) and the type of threading (full thread or partial thread).

Studs: Studs are similar to bolts but without a head. They have threads on both ends and are used in applications where one end must be screwed into a component permanently, while the other end accepts a nut to fasten another component.
